With MVSJ, the musicians and/or the caliber of performance you hear online are exactly what you will hear at your event.

All MVSJ audio and video samples are performed by ensembles from Monte Vista Strings and Jazz, and all accurately reflect the sound you can expect from MVSJ. Please be advised that some local companies utilize commercial recordings on their audio pages. Always look or ask for a source reference.

MVSJ explicitly guarantees the professional credentials of EVERY MUSICIAN on EVERY INSTRUMENT at EVERY EVENT we perform. Be aware that some local companies regularly combine professional musicians with minimally trained amateur players who may perform on multiple instruments (with varying degrees of skill) as the group’s schedule requires. You will hear the MVSJ difference.

Prospective clients may always request invites to upcoming live MVSJ performances.

Audio and video samples represent only a small portion of the broad, diverse music selection available to you through MVSJ. Audio and video samples demonstrate the sound quality and range of styles you can expect from MVSJ. Repertoire ranges from Bach, Handel, and Mozart to Cole Porter, Outkast, the Beatles, Lady Gaga, and so much more. Custom requests are always welcome.

Please note: Many clients transition from a classic ensemble for wedding ceremony and cocktail hour music to one of our Wired! or jazz options for dinner or reception music.

Dear Andrew, I wanted to thank you and Monte Vista Strings & Jazz for providing such incredible music at our wedding ceremony and reception. The string quartet and the vocalist at St. Marks were absolutely fabulous. Although most of the day is a blur, I distinctly remember hearing Canon in D as I waited in the wings. Watching everything again in the wedding video confirmed that every note was flawless. The duo at the cocktail hour was also amazing. The transition from the more formal strings to the classical guitar was the perfect segue into the celebratory part of the evening. Thank you again for your professionalism and your remarkable talent! I couldn’t dream of a more perfect soundtrack to the day.
